GreenEdge is a research, behavioural communication and project management consultancy specialising in the circular economy. Established in 2000, the consultancy has worked with leading recycling and waste management companies, municipalities, corporates and communities.

Founding director Hugh Tyrrell  spent a dozen years as a copywriter in major international advertising agencies, before leaving to be the first publisher and editor of ReSource, the SA waste and recycling industry journal. He is now a long-standing member of the Institute of Waste Management. 

Hugh has also convened three national environmental journalism conferences, developed an e-learning course “Greening your Business” funded by Nedbank, and  helped set Woolworths on their path to sustainability. Hugh is co-founder and vice-chair of non-profit  TreeKeepers Cape Town.
